Answer
In order to do a clean installation of your Plextor ConvertX device, you will want to uninstall the device drivers as well as the bundled software.
To uninstall the device drivers:
Disconnect your ConvertX device then navigate to your C:\Program Files\Plextor folder. Look for the folder that corresponds to your ConvertX device (i.e. PX-TV402U). Depending on what model you have, you will look for the following cleaning utility. Please see the table below for more information.
PX-TV402U - TVXClean.exe
PX-M402U - XClean.exe
PX-AV100U - EMClear.exe
PX-TV100U - EMClear.exe
Right click on the utility and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. The previous drivers will be deleted from your system. Make sure to reboot your computer before installing the updated drivers.
